ALERT: This is a work in development. At this time all it does is install the video lectures to your device. App uses some new features from google. It probably contains bugs. Please note it might not work yet as intended. Its still in alpha stage. So far tested on Android Gingerbread version (Android 2.3.2). If you do use please send feedback through the app menu if you were able to download the app and if everything worked as expected.
This app presents the excellent work done by the team at the Understand Quran Academy (http://www.understandquran.com) in the form of interactive video lectures. Focus is on learning enough Arabic language to make it easier to understand the words and phrases found in the Qur’an, and used in the daily obligatory prayers by muslims. Ability to read Arabic is a prerequisite.

The course consists of Surah Al-Fatihah, Last 6 Surahs, parts of Salah (prayer), etc. It also contains basic necessary Grammar. Through these selections, almost 100 words of the Qur’an are taught which occur around 40,000 times in the Qur’an (out of a total of approx. 78,000 words). That comes to around 50%!!! So, you will know almost half of the words on each page of the Qur’an.
